Welcome to Graduate Medical Education at ECU Health where we’re committed to providing our resident physicians and fellows the best education to meet professional goals.
ECU Health, affiliated with The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, is a clinical and academic system of care comprised of 1,708 beds across two campuses, seven community hospitals, and numerous outpatient facilities, home health, hospice, and wellness centers. The system also includes a multi-specialty physician and provider group that offers access to more than 500 clinicians in 100+ practice locations.
With 974 inpatient beds, ECU Health Medical Center (ECUHMC) is one of the largest academic medical centers in North Carolina. On an average day, ECUHMC admits more than 100 patients and provides care for more than 300 patients in our emergency departments alone.
Our 40 residency and fellowship programs provide comprehensive training in primary care and multiple specialty and sub-specialty disciplines. In addition to training at ECUHMC, our trainees are exposed to private practice through rotations in our community and rural areas.
If you are new to our site, welcome. If you are an ECU Health Medical Center resident physician or fellow, thank you for being an integral part of our healthcare team.
